Providing superior health care to the underserved and low income uninsured in the Omaha Metropolitan
Area is the goal of the Hope Medical Outreach Coalition.
Hope Medical Outreach Coalition is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in partnership with area health
centers and clinics and over 500 volunteer health care specialists. Hope coordinates medical and dental
care for 8,000 men, women, and children in the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro area each year.
Hope serves people who have health conditions but don’t have insurance, qualify for Medicaid, Medicare
or other assistance. Hope connects these individuals with one of our participating volunteers and stays
involved to make sure their care is coordinated throughout our system of health centers, clinics,
physicians, dental, pharmacy and optical services.
Hope helps Omaha care for its uninsured, saving the community, health systems, employers and insurers
millions of dollars and just as importantly saving lives and saving families. For the uninsured and
for our community,
This last year the Hope Volunteer Physicians and Hospitals donated the following care through the Hope Charity Care Program:
» 435 Surgeries valued at $1,930,144
» 3249 Physician referrals valued at $2,878,156 |
